Seems like there’s a recent buzz about happy endings being an American thing. Yeah, it’s an old buzz, too. I’ve heard it a few times lately in different circles. I suppose in a superficial way, it could be cultural. I’ve never thought it was meant to be a band aid, superficial, yes we’re a great country that will pull out of anything statement. If that’s how we’re thinking, it’s pretty small thinking.

I heard something today that woke me up a little. FEAR stands for face everything and recover. Be honest, about everything. For way too long I have used the label of the work I do 9 to 5 to give the impression of a successful person. Since I would rather be writing, having fun making things up, giving the impression that I am an upstanding business person to impress people is a lie. True, I enjoy making a living and will keep this or some other profession to do so. I won't forget that job is to support the work and play I really love.
